Healing Mates Digital Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Scars to Glow mobile game (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

  • Local Game Data: Scars to Glow stores your gameplay data (such as current grid state, score, turn number, and basic settings) locally on your device. This data is used only to run the game and is not automatically sent to our own servers.
  • Usage & Device Data: We may receive anonymous or aggregated technical information such as device model, operating system version, language/region, crash logs, and basic diagnostics. This helps us improve stability, performance, and compatibility.
  • Advertising Data: The App uses third-party advertising services, such as Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers (for example, an advertising ID), approximate location (for example, country or region inferred from IP), device information, and interaction data with ads (for example, whether an ad was viewed or tapped). This information is processed by those third parties according to their own privacy policies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain core gameplay and in-app features.
  • To store your progress and settings on your device so the game behaves as expected.
  • To show ads that keep the game free to play (via services such as Google AdMob).
  • To monitor app performance, diagnose issues, and improve the overall experience.

3. Local Storage and Data on Your Device

  • Your game progress and settings are stored locally on your device.
  • If you uninstall the App or clear its storage, your game data (such as scores and progress) will be permanently deleted from your device.
  • We do not maintain cloud backups of your individual gameplay data for Scars to Glow, and we cannot restore deleted local data.

4. Sharing and Visibility

  • Scars to Glow is a single-player experience. Your game data is not shared with other players through our systems.
  • We do not sell your personal data to marketers or unrelated third parties.
  • Certain technical or advertising-related data may be processed by third-party providers (such as app stores, analytics tools, and ad networks) strictly to enable the App’s functionality, diagnostics, and monetization.

5. Ads, Third-Party Services, and Consent

  • The App uses Google AdMob or similar services to display ads. These services may collect and process data as described in their own privacy policies, including for ad measurement, frequency capping, and fraud prevention.
  • Where required by law (for example, in the EU/EEA or UK), you may see a consent dialog related to personalized or non-personalized ads. Your selections in that dialog are handled by the third-party provider or platform, and we rely on that system to honor your choices.

  • Scars to Glow is intended for users aged 13 and older.
  • We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. We also do not knowingly allow children under 13 to be targeted with personalized ads where applicable child-privacy laws would prohibit this.
  • If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us in connection with the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action, which may include deleting data or adjusting ad treatment where possible.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • You can manage ad-related preferences and limit ad tracking using your device or platform settings (for example, resetting your advertising ID or limiting ad personalization).
  • You may uninstall the App at any time, which will delete locally stored game data from your device.
  • Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under local data protection laws (for example, rights to access, correct, or delete certain data held about you). Because Scars to Glow does not require an account or direct personal details, our practical ability to identify and act on such requests may be limited.
  • If you have questions about your privacy rights in connection with Scars to Glow, you can contact us using the details in Section 16. We may ask you for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and jurisdiction before acting on a request.

9. Data Security

  • We take reasonable steps to protect data that passes through our systems, including the use of secure communication and access controls where appropriate.
  • However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You use the App at your own risk.

10. Data Retention

  • Locally stored game data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear its storage.
  • Any technical, diagnostic, or advertising-interaction data handled by third parties (such as crash reports or ad interactions) is retained according to their respective policies and legal obligations, not ours.

11. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, the services we use, or applicable laws.
  • When we update the Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” and “Version” above.
  • Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.

12. Language and Interpretation

  • This Privacy Policy is provided in English and governs how we handle your data.
  • The App may show translated text for convenience, but in the event of any inconsistency, the English version of this Policy will prevail.

13. Liability Disclaimer

  • We are not liable for external breaches, outages, or misuse of data beyond our reasonable control, including incidents affecting third-party providers such as ad networks, platform operators, or network providers.

14. Severability

  • If any part of this Privacy Policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply in full.

15. Governing Law

  • This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules.
